Shipping & Shipping Charts

1. General Shipping Information:

• All prices shown on our website are FOB Thunder Bay [Freight on Board].
• All sizes quoted are approximate.
  See sizing charts from our suppliers listed on product pages.

    

• We have partnered with Canada Post and DHL for fast and reliable service to your door. Delivery of your order is typically attempted Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. If you’re unavailable to sign for the delivery and a safe drop location is not available, the courier will leave you a notification card to indicate how to obtain your order.
• We require a valid street address outside of Canada as courier services do not deliver to PO boxes.
• Incorporated into our shipping is a signed proof of delivery to ensure accurate delivery.
• Gear Up For Outdoors Ltd. does not send out our products as “gifts” nor do we undervalue our products for duty/tax purposes.
• Please be aware of applicable VAT taxes and duties in your area.
  Please read our Taxes, Import Duties and Customs Declaration section.
• Stated “Shipping Time” is based on our best estimates and not when the order was placed on the system.

• Gear Up For Outdoors Ltd. ships the most efficient way possible.
  Delivery charges are based on size, weight and destination.
  If additional shipping expenses arise, a customer service representative will contact you to discuss.
• If shipping to a business or corporation address within the United States we require a valid Internal Revenue Service IRS/SIN Number to be included in shipping details.
• Due to the volatility of the oil and gas market, shipping prices may vary depending on the global demand.
  These changes may occur at anytime and without warning.
• If you have backordered items, you will only be charged for shipping once and it will be spread over your entire order.

2. Shipping Timelines

• Gear Up For Outdoors Ltd. will process your order within 24 business hours if there are no problems.
  [weekends, Canadian civic holidays are exceptions]
• All timelines are approximations, and no guarentees can be made for delivery times.
• Delivery withing Canada: 3-5 business Days.
• Delivery into the USA: 3-7 business Days.
• Delivery to International destinations: 5-10 Business Days.

3. Package Tracking

    

• Gear Up For Outdoors Ltd uses Canada Post Expedited Parcel Service within North America and has partnered with DHL Courier Services for shipments into Europe, Asia/Pacific and at times North America.
• These arrangements reduce your shipping time, provides more tracking points for your shipment, as well as a confirmed E-mail delivery notice and tracking/pickup information [provided by our third party services].
• Lost or Damaged goods must be reported to Gear Up For Outdoors Ltd. ASAP!

4. Delays/Exceptions

• Shipping times may vary due to specific addresses/locations.
  [Ie. Remote locations, customs clearance delays, acts of nature. ]
• Nature of Goods being shipped
  [flares, fuel, etc]
• Country of destination
  [distribution agreements, tariff/import  restrictions, quota rates, etc]
• Peak season.
  [holidays including Mother's day, Christmas, etc.]
• We discourage the use of courier companies not utilized by us as the delays [paperwork] can be enormous.
• Please review our Fraud Protection policy for important information about third party orders/shipping.

5. Shipping Restrictions

• Shipping restrictions may apply to certain products and destinations.
• Over-sized product restrictions include items such as
  • Shovels, canoe barrels, snowshoes, etc.
• Hazardous/restricted materials include
  • Bear spray, camping fuel, flares & bangers, etc.
• Regional distribution agreements and complexities in exporting some items can also cause shipping restrictions.
  

Approximate Shipping Rate Chart

• Our chart is an estimate based on the number of regular business days it would normally take, but it is not a guarantee
  

• The provided rate chart above is a guideline only
• Our checkout system automatically calculates an estimated shipping rate based on the number/weight of goods being purchased.  We endeavour to pack everything in one box to reduce shipping charges and without damaging goods.
• Multiple shipment rates and weights are adjusted accordingly
  [ie. Shipping is not tripled if you order 3 t-shirts]
• Additional charges maybe incurred over and above our base rate charges.
  You will be notified for acceptance or approval.
• Shipping time refers to when the courier makes a pick up at our door and not the date the order was placed.
• We are not responsible for added delays or missed parcels if we are told to make shipments to businesses or hotels.
