The GV Elongated Bear Paw Synthetic Webbing Traditional Snowshoe (racquet) model is one of the  of the best-known racquet shapes. The Elongated Bear Paw Snowshoes are utilized on Trail & mountain areas. It draws its origins from the Indian nations of eastern Canada and the Canadian Far North, in particular the Innu (Montagnais) nation.  Great for open terrain with less obstacles and snow packed by the wind. The Elongated Bear Paw is narrower but longer than the (Original Traditional Bear Paw Snowshoe.)  

  • Due to availability of Rawhide - GV has integrated the Synthetic Webbing for this season. The synthetic laces are stronger than the rawhide and you don’t have to treat the laces compared to the rawhide.
  • Built with two tightly fit cross-bars tenons, the Elongated Bear Paw is narrower but longer than the original bear paw
  • Narrower snowshoe with a long tip will enable an easier gait! 
  • The lack of tail eases backward steps & maneuverability and helps turning around obstacles, great through dense underbrush. 
  • The heavy duty lacing is ideal for spring time conditions and wet snow...
